Key Usage Policies

• Purpose: Facilities are available for lawful community activities that do not interfere with educational programs.
• Prohibited Conduct: Use of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and firearms is strictly forbidden. Profane language or objectionable conduct may result in being barred from the facility.
• Nondiscrimination: No person will be denied access based on race, creed, color, sex, or origin.
• Supervision: Applicants must provide adequate adult supervision and are responsible for the safety of participants and spectators.

Insurance and Compliance

• Liability Coverage:
  • Nonprofit youth groups: Must provide proof of bodily injury coverage (at least $50,000 per occurrence/$100,000 aggregate).
  • For-profit businesses: Must provide proof of general liability coverage of no less than $1 million per occurrence.
• Youth Sports: All youth sports groups must provide a letter of compliance regarding mandated concussion management protocols.
• Indemnification: The applicant agrees to hold the School District harmless from claims or liabilities arising from the user's activities.

Fees and Scheduling

• Rental Rates: Fees are based on the latest established rental rates, and payment is due within 30 days.
• Cancellations: Applicants must provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid being charged for actual costs incurred.
• Facility Care: Users are responsible for returning the facility to its original condition immediately after use.
• Custodial Services: The district may require and charge for custodial staff to be present for unlocking/locking doors, heating, and routine cleanup.

Application Requirements

Applicants must specify the nature of the activity, the number of participants, and the specific equipment or facility requested (e.g., gym, cafeteria, auditorium, or athletic field). Permission may be denied based on the district's interests or previous scheduling conflicts.
